Obituary

Carol Louise Hayward, 70, of Franklin formerly of Medway died January 27 the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.

Born in Whitinsville, January 8, 1950, the daughter of the late Chester W. and Dorothy (Sparhawk) Hayward, Miss Hayward was raised and had lived in Medway for many years before moving to Franklin 30 years ago.

Carol was a graduate of Medway High School and also Westfield State College.

Miss Hayward had been an elementary school teacher in Medway for many years.

She had taught at the Anderson School, the Burke School, and the McGovern School before retiring. Carol had also taught for a year at the American School in Zagreb, Yugoslavia.

She is survived by her siblings, Warren Hayward of Lowell, David Hayward of Franklin, Sandra Resendes and her husband Roy of Pelham, New Hampshire, and Sheila Pitts of Ware, New Hampshire.

She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral service will be private with burial in Riverdale Cemetery in Northbridge.

Calling hours will be on Sunday from 3-5 pm in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com) 3 Barber Street, Medway.
