Marie C. (Petit) Cachia, 77, of Dartmouth, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Boston. She was the wife of Joseph Cachia.
Born in Holyoke, MA, daughter of the late Eugene and Pauline (Cloutier) Petit, she had lived in Dartmouth for over 50 years. Prior to retirement, she had worked at New Bedford Rehabilitation Hospital.
Including her husband, survivors include 2 sons: John J. Cachia of New Bedford and Michael B. Cachia and his fiancé Debra of Dartmouth; a daughter: Christine M. Cummings and her husband Tim of Dartmouth; 3 brothers: Bernard Petit and his wife Cheryl of NJ, Paul Petit and his wife Anne of MA and Eugene Petit of MA; a sister: Rita Benard and her husband Robert of MA; 7 grandchildren: Sarah and her husband Tyler, Kate, Matthew, Erin, Heather, Caitlin and Brooke; and several nieces and nephews.
