Marianne L. Brown, of Woburn, passed away peacefully at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center on Monday, January 25, 2021. The beloved wife of the late Fred C. Brown, Jr., she was eighty-nine years of age.
Born in Woburn, Marianne was the daughter of the late Frederic Ward and Rose (Matthews) Ward and the sister of the late Frederic Ward of Lowell. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1949 and Malden Hospital Nursing School in 1952. Marianne worked as a registered nurse at Malden Hospital and later at the Woburn Nursing Home until her retirement.
Marianne married Fred in 1954 and had four children. She is survived by her four children, Paula J. Stenquist and her husband, David, of Woburn, Fred C. Brown, III and his wife, Eileen, of Burlington, Richard W. Brown and his wife, Deborah, of Dunwoody, Georgia and Marcia A. Brown and her wife, Debra Govostes of Woburn. Marianne also is survived by her seven grandchildren, David Paul Stenquist, his wife Kristen, Bryan and Corey Stenquist, Kyle, Drew, Kayla and Jason Brown as well as a great grandchild Sienna Stenquist.
