WORCESTER-Jeannette A. (Riopel) Keeney, 92, of 49 Pleasant Valley Drive, died Friday, March 17th in the Knollwood Nursing Home. Her husband Ralph E. Keeney died in 1982. She leaves a son, Kenneth R. Keeney of Shrewsbury, 2 daughters, Doris M. Manners of Jaffrey, NH and Marilyn A. Pierce of Auburn, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. 6 brothers and 2 sisters predeceased her.
She was born in Auburn the daughter of Joseph H. and Eda (Charland) Riopel. Mrs. Keeney was a graduate of Commerce High School. She had been employed as records department head for the former Worcester Fire Mutual, Hanover and State Mutual insurance companies. Mrs. Keeney had been a long time member of Sacred Heart Parish, and was an active volunteer for its Bingo program, and had also worked as a volunteer for the Worcester Medical Center since she was 65, retiring last year.
The funeral is Monday, March 20th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Sacred Heart Church, 600 Cambridge Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park. A calling hour will be held from 8:30 until 9:30 AM the day of the funeral.
