Robert J. Silva, a life-long Provincetown resident passed away Sunday, January 3rd at the Briarwood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in Needham. He was 88.
Born in Provincetown, he was the son of the late Joseph B. and Amelia (Corea) Silva. He was a veteran, serving in the US Army during the Korean War. After the service, he worked as a commercial fisherman with his father and brothers, Alfred and Kenneth Silva. They fished out of Provincetown and New
Bedford.
Robert was an active member of both the Lewis Young Post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Morris Light Post, American Legion.
He is survived by his brother, Alfred Silva and sister Eleanor Costa, as well as several nieces and nephews.
At his request, there will be no services.
