Carol Ann Cole (Ciavardone), of Billerica, formerly of Medford, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 26, 2021. Carol was born April 20, 1939, daughter of the late Phillip and Agatha (Morabito) Ciavardone. Loving mother and mentor of Gerard W. Cole Jr. and his wife Sherri (Bossi) of Billerica. Predeceased by her son Stephen J. Cole, her brother Joseph C. Ciavardone and her sister Joan F. Roman. Precious grandmother, affectionately known as “Nonna” to Tyler, Jordan, Hannah, and Travis Cole. She was a devoted friend to many, and her friends were a cornerstone of her life. She graduated from Medford High School and was a longtime administrator for Tufts University. As a single hockey mom, Carol selflessly woke up countless early mornings to take her sons to games all across the state. A great source of her enjoyment was listening to Pavarotti with a cigarette and a good glass of wine -- one of her fondest memories was seeing him live in concert. Relatives & friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Saturday January 30th at 9 AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden at 10 AM. Services will conclude with interment in Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford. Visitation will be held at the funeral home prior to the Mass on Saturday only. Social distancing protocols are to be followed.
