Charles K. Ingalsbe, age 93, passed away on January 11, 2021 at Amber Hills Assisted Living in Prosser, Washington. He was born in Kansas on April 9, 1927 to Charles and Anna Ingalsbe. He moved with his family to Washington State during the Great Depression. They settled in Naches and built a house. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Charles married Lillian (Sue) Close in September, 1947. The made their home in Morton, Washington, building a home there. Charles and Sue had four children and later adopted a nephew.
Charles worked in the lumber industry building roads, driving log trucks and dump trucks and was a demolition expert. He was a very kind man helping his neighbors, friends and family. He was a true handyman. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t build and/or fix. He was a family man; loved his family.
Charles is survived by his sons, Chuck Ingalsbe, Tony Ingalsbe (Karen) and Roger Ingalsbe; his sisters-in-law, Marj (Noah) Winder and Pauline Hooper; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren who will miss him greatly. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue; daughter, Sherry; son, Shane; and his siblings, Ella Marie, Frances, Lewis and Clyde.
