Carolyn M. (Pucci) Cook, 78, of North Hill in Needham, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania passed away Friday, January 22, 2021 after a long illness. Carolyn was born in Pittsburgh on April 9, 1942. She was the beloved daughter of the late Carolyn (Thomas), Leonard Morra and her adoptive father Joseph Pucci. She graduated from Wilkinsburg High School and Grove City College, where she met her husband, Don L. Cook, Jr. Carolyn and Don enjoyed 48 happy years of marriage before his death in 2015. During those years, Don and Carolyn lived all around the United States through Don’s career at US Steel, making enduring friendships and countless memories in each location before returning to Pittsburgh in 1998.
Carolyn was a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend who left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was the life of the party, and her smile could light up the room. Her greatest joy was spending time with family and friends.
She leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Beth Cook of Wellesley, MA; her daughter and son-in-law, Tracee and David Saslowsky of Potomac, MD; her four granddaughters, Alice and Louisa Cook and Charlotte and Vivian Saslowsky. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
A private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul Church, Wellesley. Interment will follow in Pittsburgh, PA.
