Raymond L. Anderson, age 82, of Brockton, died peacefully January 25, 2021 at Copley at Stoughton. Raymond was the beloved husband of the late Anita J. (Simeone) Anderson. Born in Somerville, he was the son of the late Roy and Eva (Sullivan) Anderson. Raymond was a graduate of Cambridge Rindge and Latin High School. For over 40 years, he worked at Payne Elevator Company in Cambridge, retiring in 1997.
Raymond’s biggest joy was caring for his wife and listening to her sing. He volunteered at Good Samaritan Medical Center and for the Brockton High School Band Boosters. He also enjoyed golf, reading, walking and being with his family on Cape Cod.
Raymond is survived by his sons Brian T. and his wife Lisa of Stoughton, Michael J. and his wife Tracy Jo of Norton and his daughter Linda M. of Brockton. He was the loving Papa to four grandchildren; Abigail, Brett, Michael and Nicole and brother of Stewart Anderson of Somerville and the late William, George, Donald, Warren and twin Grace Zaccardi. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Thursday, January, 28 from 10am-12pm. A private family service will be held at 12pm. Following COVID guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing observed in the funeral home, with a maximum of 25 people in the funeral home at any one time.
