Dolores H. “Dolly” (Bazylinski) (Jones) Chappelle, age 75 of Brockton, died unexpectedly January 19, 2021 at her home. Dolly was the wife of the late William R. “Willie” Chappelle, and formerly married to Robert W. Jones, Sr. of Derry, N.H.
Born in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Charles C. and Helen (Juskiewicz) Bazylinski. She was raised in Dorchester and was a 1963 graduate of St. Gregory High School.
For over 20 years she worked as an Administrative Assistant in the corporate office of Dunkin Donuts.
Dolly was a longtime member of the Brockton Senior Center, where she enjoyed the discounts afforded to seniors. She was also an avid QVC shopper, never missing a daily deal. Dolly enjoyed time spent with her family, ballroom dancing with her dance partner Willie and chocolate. She could find chocolate with her eyes closed and hands tied behind her back.
Dolly is survived by her son Robert W. “Bobby” Jones, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Derry, N.H., two grandchildren Samantha and Nicholas Jones, and a brother Charles L. Bazylinski of Braintree. She is also survived by Willie’s many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton, Saturday, January 30, from 12-2pm, followed by a private family service at 2pm. We have asked the funeral home to have Dolly there on time as she was late to every event she ever attended. Following COVID guidelines, masks must be worn and social distancing observed with a maximum of 25 people in the funeral home at any one time. For the Polish relatives, the funeral home will help you count.
