PRESQUE ISLE, ME – Natasha Leigh “Tasha” Cantrell, 36, of Presque Isle, Maine and a former longtime resident of the Aldenville section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Thursday, January 21, 2021. She passed into Eternal Life at her parent’s home in Chicopee surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family. She was born Jenna A. Mitchell in Springfield on December 5, 1984, a beloved daughter of Robert A. Mitchell of Chicopee and the late Janet C. (Haywood) Fisher who was Called Home on July 21, 2016. She was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Comprehensive High School in 2003 and recently moved to Presque Isle, Maine in August of 2020. She was employed as a stock associate at the Walmart Superstore in Presque Isle. She previously worked at the Aldi Supermarket in Hadley, the Target Department Store at the Ingleside Mall in Holyoke and the CVS Pharmacy in Chicopee. During her leisure time, she loved writing and reading, watching classic television shows, movies and game shows, enjoyed family road trips and loved visiting the ocean. Above all, she loved spending time with family and her beloved feline companion, her cat Pepper. She will be deeply missed by her loving father and step-mother, Robert A. Mitchell and his wife, Debra, of Chicopee; her loving step-father, Kerry B. Fisher of Chicopee; her three loving sisters, Alison R. Riffenburg and her husband, Shawn, and Pamela J. Michon and her partner, James Russell, all of Chicopee and Tiffany G. Michon and her partner, Ryan Spence, of Agawam; her cherished nephew, Benjamin Riffenburg; her beloved grandparents, Harold C. and Mildred M. (Lafromboise) Fountain of Agawam; her beloved step-grandmother, Linda (Morin) Anderson of Easthampton; and her many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to her mother, she was predeceased by her beloved paternal grandparents, William M. Mitchell, Jr. and Anna J. (Melaney) Mitchell; and her beloved maternal grandparents, Robert Haywood and Janet (Paynter) Barton. Her family will plan a Celebration of Life Service for Tasha at a later date and time to be announced. There are no visiting hours.
