Dana M. (Morris) Bienkowski, 56, of Franklin, died peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 23, 2021 following a four-year battle with melanoma cancer. She was the beloved wife of Robert M. "Toby" Bienkowski, Jr., with whom she shared 30 years of marriage and their sons Robert M. “Mike” Bienkowski III and Carter H. Bienkowski.
She grew up in Darien, CT and graduated from Darien H.S. in 1982. Following her graduation from Trinity College in Hartford, CT in 1986 she moved to Boston where she worked at O’Rourke and Company for ten years. After the birth of her two sons she worked for over ten years as the librarian at the Parmenter Elementary School in Franklin, MA and more recently was working as a Program Manager for the UMASS-Donahue Institute.
Dana loved spending time with friends at the beach, on the lakes or just hanging out. She was very active, enjoying kayaking, biking, snowshoeing or just taking a walk in the woods. She also enjoyed exploring local breweries with her husband and road tripping to see DMB shows. Dana also had fun exploring Italy and UK and Scotland on recent trips.
She was preceded in death by her parents Philip Rhodes and Mary (Christie) Morris.
Dana is survived by her sisters Lisa Worster (husband Dave) and their children Jennie and John, Tricia Katz (husband Evan) and their children Lauren and Nicole and her stepmother Marjorie Morris.
