Hipolito Cabral (82) of Brockton died January 22nd peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Maria (Monteiro) Cabral.
He was born in Praia, Santiago, Cabo Verde, son of the late Maria Joana Lopes Da Veiga and Isidoro Cabral. Hipolito was a retired police officer in his home country. He was a communicant of St. Edith Stein Church and enjoyed walking, soccer, helping others and socializing with family and friends.
Hipolito is survived by 7 sons, Manuel Lopes, Victor Montiero, Euclides, Julio, Jerimias, David and Paulo Cabral, 9 daughters, Isabel Montiero, Maria Joana, Maria Eduarda, Isabel, Sandra, Elsa, Lenira, Lenny and Sonia Cabral, many grand and great grandchildren.
Services from the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Friday January 29th at 9 am. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Edith Stein Church, 71 E Main Street Brockton at 10 am. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Visitation in the Funeral Home Thursday January 28th from 6-9 pm.
