It is with great sadness that the family of Peter William Alexis, of Waxahachie TX, announces his passing after a brief illness on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the age of 65. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Elaine Alexis of Sarasota FL, and his brother Trent (Annette) Alexis, of Medford. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Rita (Daniska) of Arlington, and his brother Milton Alexis of Brockton. He will be deeply missed by his best friend, Conrad Whitten of Garland TX.
Peter was born in Arlington and had lived in Massachusetts the majority of his life. He lived for a brief time in New Hampshire, and resided in Texas for the past 15 years. He always referred to Arlington as “home”.
Peter had many careers in his life time, from an apprentice electrician in his younger days, to computer system analyst. His work permitted him to travel the states and he made many lifelong friends along the way. One of Peter’s greatest joys was his summer place in York Beach at Long Sands. He would so look forward to the summer when he would set up the camp for the season. Peter loved to cook and bake and was eager to share his dishes with friends and neighbors. After retirement in Texas he worked part time at Lowes. He was handy and loved renovating and repairing the many homes he owned. Peter was a great friend and neighbor, and a loving “Dad” to his dogs.
If one were to describe what they recall most about Peter was his generosity and his willingness to help others. His love for his family was clear to anyone that met him. We will miss our brother dearly, and cherish the memories.
Services will be private. A celebration of Peter’s life will be held later this year when we can be together to honor and remember him. Memorial donations made be sent to Buddy Dog Humane Society, 151 Boston Post Rd. Sudbury MA 01776.
