John ‘Jack’ McKenna, 80, of Tewksbury, passed away Friday, January 15, 2021. He was the beloved husband to Joyce M. (Rogerson) McKenna, with whom he shared Sixty One years of Marriage.
A son of the late John McKenna and the late Blanche (Gaudet) McKenna, he was born February 13, 1940, in Somerville and was raised and educated there, graduating from Somerville Technical High School. In 1965, he moved to Tewksbury and in 2011 he relocated to North Carolina until he returned to Tewksbury, where he made his home until his death.
John worked for Middlesex Printing and then for Acme Printing. In 1983, he purchased Acme Numrico company specializing in the service and distribution of printing equipment.
He was a longtime communicant of St. William’s Parish, and very active in the Men's Club from 1965 until moving to North Carolina in 2011. He was also a longtime member of the Billerica Irish- American Club, and the Knights of Columbus in Tewksbury and North Carolina. In addition, he loved Irish Music, golfing, and all the Boston Sports Teams.
His survivors include his children, John McKenna and his wife, Donna, of Methuen, Daniel McKenna and his wife, Susan, of Plaistow, NH, Sharon Mikrut of Chesterville, ME, Kevin McKenna and his wife, Mary, of Tewksbury, and Donna Lennon and her husband, Kevin, of Canton; his ten grandchildren as well as his four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was also the father in law of the late Mike Mikrut and brother of the late R. Patrick McKenna, the late Mary Dooley, the late Elizabeth McKenna, and the late Jean E. Brady.
