Judy Sauling Chin, 76, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 16th at home surrounded by her family. Her husband of 45 years, Kenneth C. Chin died in 2006. She leaves a son, Robert Chin and his wife, Carolyn of Worcester; three daughters, Shirley Lyon and her husband, Michael of Lawrence, Lisa Addams and her husband, Marshall of Paxton and Amy Chin of Worcester; six grandchildren, Matthew, Caitlin, William, Rebecca, Thomas and Brian; and a great grandson, Luca. She also leaves her parents, five siblings and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was born in Hong Kong. She married and moved to the United States in 1961. She worked at her husband’s family business, The Ho Toy Luau Restaurant in Worcester. In 1973, Ken and Judy opened Ken Chin’s Restaurant where they created the popular Cheese Monna Dish. Judy loved playing mahjong and spending time with her family.
Private funeral services will be held in Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Hospice, 555 Plantation Street, Worcester, MA 01605. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is assisting the family with arrangements.
