Obituary

Michael A. Lucia passed away peacefully at the Brigham and Women's Hospital of Boston. He was 90. Born in Medford, Michael was the son of the late Pasquale and Rose (Scaramella) Lucia. Michael served in the National Guard as a young man and enjoyed his working years in construction and maintenance.

Michael was active in his community. He was a regular face at Medford’s Senior Center where he enjoyed many friendships. He was also an active parishioner at the Immaculate Conception Parish, where he served as an usher at weekly mass.

Michael was the beloved father of Linda Napolitano and Michael Lucia. He was a loving grandfather to Stephen and David Napolitano, and Rebecca, Christopher and Jeffrey Lucia. He was a devoted brother to Violet Lucia and the late Anthony F. Lucia. Michael was a dear uncle to Patrick Lucia, Donna and Steve Goldthwaite, the late Loretta Patrie and Anthony Lucia. He was the great-uncle of Jonathan, Matthew and Mark Lucia, Ashley Jennings, Brent Lucia, Robert and Steven Patrie, Laurie Cooley and the late John Patrie. He is also survived by many great-great nieces and nephews and was the long term friend of Margaret Mackinnon.

Relatives and friends may visit at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St. Medford on Wednesday, January 27th, from 8:30 to 9:30 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 pleasant St. Malden at 10 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford. Please observe social distance protocols while attending services.
