Mary Alice Seemore, age 77 of Brockton, Massachusetts, was born in Opelika, Alabama on January 25, 1943 to the late Foster Frederick and Mozelle Ware. She made her transition on January 16, 2021 at the Carney Hospital located in Boston, Massachusetts. Mary was the devoted and loving wife of Pastor Henry W. Seemore Sr., her high school sweetheart since the age of fourteen.
As First Lady of House of Prayer #2 in Fischbach, Germany during the mid to late 70’s and House of Prayer #5 Apostolic Church in Brockton, MA, until her passing, Mary was affectionally known as Mother Seemore. For more than 45 years she worked alongside her husband in ministry. Mary had an anointed angelic voice that touched the hearts and souls of anyone blessed to hear her powerful ministry. She enjoyed singing two of her favorite songs, “I Won’t Complain” and “When I See Jesus, Amen”. An exciting musical fact about Mary that most are not privy to; during her late teens she was presented with an opportunity to sing professionally but willingly declined the offer to be a wife and mother. A decision she never regretted. Mary worked for the Department of Defense for several years, receiving numerous performance awards and accolades for her outstanding work. She enjoyed spending quality time with her grandchildren, solving crossword puzzles, and putting jigsaw puzzles together. She also enjoyed watching the Hallmark channel and the Western classic television show, Bonanza. In addition, Mary loved any shade of purple, drinking coffee and wearing the most stylish church suits with fabulous wide brim hats to match. Her spirit was genuine, her laugher was infectious and her smile was radiate. “I’ll trade a lifetime for just one day in paradise” are lyrics Mary sang with heartfelt conviction, knowing that her day would eventually come when she would see the face of God. But before that day could arrive, her greatest desire was knowing that her family would remain bonded and united together. Mary now rests in the presence of God with the assurance that her wishes have been fulfilled.
Mary is survived by her husband Henry W. Seemore Sr., her son Henry W. Seemore Jr. and wife Michelle of Massachusetts, daughters Kimberly D. Williams and husband Ken of Massachusetts, Traci A. Seemore of Georgia and Margie Priolieu and husband Sherwood of Texas, her sister Wanda Jennings of Michigan, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
“I’ve had some good days and I’ve had some hills to climb. I’ve had some weary days and lonely nights, but when I look around and when I think things all over, all of my good days, outweigh my bad days so I Won’t Complain…”
