Fairhaven – Natalia (Raposo) Branquinho, age 86, of New Bedford, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at The Royal Nursing in Fairhaven Ma. Natalia can now continue her journey hand in hand with her husband Raul P. Branquinho who was called home to the heaven above on December 12, 2020, after 65 wonderful years of marriage.
Natalia was born in St. Michael, Azores to the late Antonio and Georgina (Cabral) Raposo. She came to this country in 1978 where she worked for Calvin Klein for many years until her retirement.
She leaves behind 5 children, daughter Ana Pinto and her husband Jerry of New Bedford, son, Roy Branquinho of New Bedford, daughter, Maria Melo and her husband Steven of New Bedford, daughter, Lucy Burke of Virginia and son, Fernando Branquinho and his fiancé Ana Gil Lavesque of Wareham Ma; She also had 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Manuel Raposo and several nieces and nephews.
She was also predeceased by her daughter, Lubelia Palhinhas and 3 siblings, Antonio Raposo, Maria C. Sousa and Maria do Rosario Raposo.
Natalia’s visiting hours will be held on Thursday evening, January 21, 2021 at Perry Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. Her funeral will be Friday morning, beginning in the funeral home at 7:45 A.M. and followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Immaculate Conception Church at 9:00 A.M. Burial will immediately follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
All attendees are required by current mandated restrictions to wear a face covering at all times, to social distance 6 feet and to please refrain from any close physical contact. Attendance in the funeral home will be limited in order to meet the mandated capacity restrictions and could result with a wait time outside of the funeral home.
