Tommy Duc Luong, 57, of Holden passed peacefully Saturday, January 16th at UMASS Memorial Medical Center – University Campus. He leaves behind his loving wife Lucy Luong of 30 years; two sons, Hoang Luong Lam and Richard Luong Lam; four brothers, Vinh Luong of Seattle, Hieu Luong of New Jersey, Quang and Can Luong back home in Vietnam; three sisters, Thuy Luong of Vietnam, Huong and Chau Luong of New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Bien Hoa, Vietnam, and immigrated to the United States in 1982. Tommy was a member of Our Lady of Vilna Church. He was a funny, yet serious man who enjoyed traveling the world and dancing with his wife. He was an amazing chef and was always busy working on cars or fixing houses with his sons.
His funeral is Friday, January 22nd from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Our Lady of Vilna Church, 153 Sterling Street. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, January 21st from 4:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home.
