SOMERSET – Mary Lou (Costa) Oliveira, age 78 of Somerset, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2021 at St. Anne’s Hospital. She was the beloved wife to John P. Oliveira and the daughter of the late Cazimiro and Alice (Soares) Costa.
Prior to retiring, Mary Lou worked at Country Gardens Nursing Care Center. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church, Somerset. In her past time, Mary Lou loved Sunday drives with her husband in their Corvette going to car shows.
In addition to her husband John, she is survived by her two sons: John P. Oliveira Jr. (wife Denise) of Newport, RI and Michael Oliveira (wife Suzanne) of Kensington, MD; two grandsons (John & Tegan); several siblings and nieces & nephews.
A visitation for Mary Lou will be held on Thursday, Jan. 21st from 7:30-8:30 A.M. in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River. A funeral mass will follow in St. Patrick’s Church, Somerset at 9:00 A.M. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Somerset.
