Mrs. Corine Wells Nutt, 84, of Ashburn, GA will be held at the Graveside in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mrs. Nutt passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Pruitt Health Sunrise in Moultrie, GA following an extended illness.
The daughter of the late James Allen and Rosa Alvertine Mussellwhite Wells, she was born in Turner County, GA, where she has lived her lifetime. She was the widow of the late Olin C. Nutt who passed away in 1990. She was also preceded in death by her thirteen siblings. Mrs. Nutt was a member of the Oklahoma Baptist Church in Wilcox County, GA. She was a retire clerk from Fred’s Department Store in Ashburn. She also worked at Manhattan Shirt Co. in Ashburn for over 42 years.
She was a loving friend and neighbor. She had always rather walked wherever she could rather than even accept a ride from family or friends.
Survivors include her loving nephew who she raised, Jonathan Wells of Ashburn and several nieces and nephews.
