Donna M. Fisher
June 2, 1946 – January 13 2021
TEWKSBURY: Donna M. Fisher, age 74, a resident of Tewksbury, MA for over 70 years, passed away peacefully at the High Pointe Hospice House in Haverhill on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. She was the loving wife of the late James C. Fisher for over 54 years, whom passed away on April 23, 2020. She was the loving mother to her son James C. Fisher, Jr. and his wife Amy of Dracut MA; her daughters Tracey L. Pare and her husband Rick of Marlborough MA and Debra A. Kelleher and her husband James of Dracut MA. She was the proud “Grammy” to Ryan, Shawn and Rebecca Fisher of Dracut MA, Alexandria and Cody Pare of Marlborough MA and Brady and Payton Kelleher of Dracut MA.
Donna was born in Lowell, MA on June 2, 1946 and grew up in Tewksbury with her late parents Walter F. and Evelyn A. (McLean) Morris. She was educated in the Tewksbury school system and graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1964. She was a stay at home mom until her kids entered elementary school at which time she worked at JC Penny Outlet in Billerica until its closing. Thereafter, she was employed as an Administrative Assistant in the Medical Billing Department of Lexington Eye Associates until her retirement. Upon her retirement, she dedicated her life to taking care of her best friend and husband.
She loved to camp, especially at Cold Springs Campground located in Weare, NH, where she had spent 30 plus years doing so surrounded by friends and family. She also enjoyed taking long car rides with Jim along Rt. 1A to take in the beautiful ocean views while stopping for a slice of pizza along the way as well as reading a good romance novel. She cherished her 7 grandchildren most of all and loved, as well as would not miss, attending their sporting events, school concerts or any other event they were involved in, as long as Waze could help her find her way.
Besides her Son and Daughters, she leaves behind her sisters Susan J. Duggan and her husband Charlie and Mary A. Fertitta and her late husband Tony, all of Tewksbury. Her brother Wayne F. Morris and his wife Julie of Windham, NH. She is the sister-in-law to Ann M. Fisher of Lowell. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law’s, John and Lawrence Fisher. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours in adherence to State Covid-19 guidelines will be Tuesday, January 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury, followed by a graveside service at 1:30 p.m. at Tewksbury Cemetery, 172 East Street, Tewksbury. Cemetery limited to 25 attendees. Masks/social distancing required at all venues.
