FALL RIVER – John C. Cabeceiras, age 95, born and raised in Fall River, passed away on Wednesday, January 13th, 2021 at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Care Center. He was the beloved husband of the late Alice (Correia) Cabeceiras, with whom he shared 73 years of marriage, and the son of the late Jacinto C. & Mary (Pedro Camara) Cabeceiras.
Prior to retiring, John worked as a Mechanic for Louis Hand Manufacturing for many years. He also served our country as a World War II Navy Veteran on board the USS KNOX.
He is survived by his daughters Jane Cabeceiras and Beth Ann Viveiros, (husband Kerry) both of Fall River; sister-in-law: Lydia Cordeiro; four grandchildren: Kimberly Tiburtino (husband Wedson), Kristin Gifford (husband Christopher), Kyle Garrett (partner Kyle Potvin) and Kelsie Viveiros; four great-grandchildren: Lily Gifford, Jack Gifford, Isabella Tiburtino and Gillian Tiburtino; as well as several nieces and nephews. John was the brother of the late Jesse Cordeiro, Aldina Mello, and Irene Jason.
