Geraldine A.(Yost) Kirrane, 57, of Norton died unexpectedly on Thursday March 16, 2006 at home.
Born in Boston, MA on December 22, 1948 she was a loving daughter of the late Norman and Mary (Vincent) Yost.
She was educated in the Hyde Park section of Boston Schools. She was a Claims Representative, having worked for The Social Security Administration in Norwood for over 20 years.
She was a communicant of St. Mary’s church in Norton. She was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling and time spent on Cape Cod. Most of all, her family came first and she treasured the times spent with her grandchildren. She had lived in Norton for over 30 years and was formerly of Hyde Park.
She is survived by her devoted children Matthew R. Kirrane, Sr. and his wife Melissa of Cranston, Rhode Island, Jennifer A. Carter and her husband Dewey of Plattsburgh, New York and Maura E. Lachance and her husband Chris of Plattsburgh, New York.
Her cherished grandchildren Matthew Jr., Hailey, William and Chloe.Also survived by her sister Lorraine Lodge of Plymouth as well as her 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
Her funeral, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Tuesday March 21st at 9:00 A.M. from The Norton Memorial Funeral Home 19 Clapp St. (Off Route 140, Taunton Ave.) Norton followed by a mass of Christian burial celebrated at 10:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, South Worcester St., Norton. Burial will be private.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday March 20th from 5-8 P.M. at the funeral home
In lieu of flowers, Geraldine’s family has requested that donations be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105-1942
