Gus J. Kroschewsky, Jr. 64, of Franklin, died peacefully, at his home, surrounded by his family, Monday January 11, 2021, following a long illness. He was the beloved husband of Geraldine “Gerri” (Orifice) Kroschewsky, with whom he shared 36 years of marriage.
Born in San Antonio, Texas on September 25, 1956, he was the son of the late Gus J. and Dorothy M. (Knoles) Kroschewsky of San Antonio, Texas.
Having been raised in San Antonio he later moved with family to Heidelberg, Germany where he graduated from Heidelberg High School in 1975. After attending Northeastern University in Boston, where he studied engineering, he then relocated to Seattle, WA in 1981 where he worked as a computer software engineer for the Boeing Company for 30 years before retiring and later moving to Franklin in 2014.
There are over a billion stars in this universe and on January 11, 2021 we lost the brightest one. Gus’ smile was infectious and with the greatest sense of humor spread happiness wherever he went. Friendly to everyone he met, he was always willing to lend a helping hand and would give the shirt off his back. In his spare time Gus enjoyed many hobbies and collections. He loved computers, photography, trains and camping the most and was a Boy Scout leader for many years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children; Philip J. Krochewsky of Franklin and Jordan T. Kroschewsky of Franklin, a sister Marilyn Annette Kroschewsky of California and many nieces & nephews and friends.
Due to Covid-19 services will be held privately.
