Gertrude (Cottrell) Oliveira, 93, of Fall River, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 Grace Barker Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Thomas A. Oliveira.
Mrs. Oliveira was born in Fall River, daughter of the late George H. and Alma (Melanson) Cottrell and had resided in Fall River since 1953. She was a member of the Local 178 I.L.G.W.U and prior to her retirement, worked as a sewing machine operator for the former Kim & Jim Manufacturing Co. of Fall River.
Survivors include her son-in-law: Ernest Dupont of Fall River; a brother: George Cottrell of Westport; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the mother of the late Joan M. Dupont and sister of the late John Cottrell and Arline Oliveira.
