Ruth Charshoodian Siraco, 78, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 6, 2021. She was born on July 5, 1942 in Watertown, MA to Oscar and Virginia (Kuyumjian) Charshoodian.
Ruth graduated from Watertown High School, Class of 1960. Later, she married the love of her life, Anthony Siraco; together, they owned and operated Mall Liquors in Billerica for over 25 years. Ruth was a beautiful woman inside and out. She was a kind soul who saw the best in everyone and lit up a room with her smile; she was the epitome of kindness. A loving wife, a dedicated mother and nana and devoted friend; she always enjoyed celebrations for any reason and genuinely loved everyone. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, watching her grandchildren’s sporting events, her getaways with girlfriends, trips to the salon, shopping, reading, a glass of Pinot Grigio, her dog Maverick, knitting, learning new things, exercise classes at the senior center, jokes and laughing. She was always impeccably dressed and very proud of her Armenian heritage.
Ruth is survived by her husband of 53 years, Anthony, her son Christopher, her son Mark and his wife Isabel, her grandchildren Olivia and Caden, sister-in-law, Barbara Griffith and her husband Wayne, her nieces and nephews Lisa Dyer, Heather Charshoodian, Doug Griffith, Ashley Griffith, Dennis Gonzales, Stephen Gonzales, her goddaughter Jessica Psaros, numerous cousins and friends, especially her childhood friends Gail Langley and Pat Denihan. She was predeceased by her parents, her in-laws, Andrew and Angelina Siraco, her brothers and sisters-in-law Jack and Sylvia Charshoodian and George and Nancy Charshoodian, her sister-in-law and brother-in-law Eddie and Dolores Gonzales, and her niece Susan Psaros.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ruth’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. A celebration of Ruthie's life will take place at a later date to be announced.
