Ann Marie Theresa (Connelly) Carota age 74, of Canton rejoined her departed loved ones on the 8th of January 2021 after a short battle with Endometrial Cancer.
Born on November 18, 1946 to Arthur J. Sr. and Edith (McCarthy) Connelly of Hyde Park. Ann Marie attended twelve years of Catholic school, working in a bank after graduation. Prior to her retirement, Ann Marie worked in the Stop and Shop cooperate office in Quincy. A loyal and vocal Donald Trump supporter, she believed he was the solution to Making America Great Again. She very often would remind you about her being a true Scorpio and never to mess with one. She was also immensely proud of her 100% Irish heritage and loved everything about the Irish culture.
Anyone that knew her would tell you that, without a doubt, the most important thing to her in life was being a grandmother to her granddaughter and four great grandchildren. As soon as you were within arms reach, her phone was out and you were looking at as many pictures and videos of them as she could show. Her conversations consisted of almost nothing except what the latest updates were, how smart they were, and funny stories of her great grandchildren’s daily shenanigans. She loved (loves) them with everything that she had, with the five of them loving her back just as much.
Ann Marie is survived by one daughter, Kristen Carota, of Norton. One granddaughter, Ashley Lynch (Mathew Smith), of Rockland. Four great grandchildren, Brianna (12), Braiden (9), Logan (13 months) and Natalia (2 months). Close friend that became part of her family, Jim Lopes of Quincy. Ann Marie also leaves behind one sister Marilyn Letsche and the many loving friends she had come to know and remain close with over the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Sr. and Edith, her brother Arthur Jr., and her brother Robert Sr. She will be greeted at The Gates by her two Yorkies, Honey and Buttons, both of whom have been patiently waiting for her for many years.
