Earl Easom, 66, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Sunday, January 10, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Wednesday, January 13, 2021, at the Fitzgerald Church of God, with the Rev. Dewain Joiner, Elder Charles E. Andrews and Minister Teressa McDuffie officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Coffee County, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the Church from Noon until 2 PM.
Mr. Easom was born October 6, 1954, in Ashburn, Georgia, to Sara “Sue” Ruth Easom Pittman and the late Henry Young. He graduated from Broxton High School in 1973. He was a mechanic at K & J Heavy Duty Repair. Mr. Easom was not a perfect man, but he was the perfect son, husband and father for his family. He enjoyed fishing and loved his family, his work and his friends. He was the backbone of the family and was a very generous man, he would give the shirt off of his back to anyone in need. Mr. Easom was a member of the Fitzgerald Church of God.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Louise Easom; children: Reggie Easom & Amanda Drawdy, Chris Easom and Jayden Easom, all of Fitzgerald; grandchildren: Kirk & Katelyn Easom, Jacob Andaverde, Katie & Tate Paul, Clay Easom and Lane Easom; great-grandchildren: Raelynn Easom, Rhett Easom and Grayson Easom; his mother, Sue Pittman of Fitzgerald; and siblings: Paul Young of Douglas, Stephen Young of Douglas, Renae Guy of Ashburn, and Jamie Young of Brunswick.
