Obituary

Louise (Taft-Couvee) Albano of Woburn passed peacefully after an extended illness. She was the beloved wife of Cosmo F. Albano. Born on May 2, 1939, in Tewksbury, She was the daughter of the late Hendrick and Thelma (Wilkins) Couvee.

Louise grew up at Chip-in Farm in Bedford. She attended Bedford elementary schools and graduated from Concord High School in 1957. Upon graduation she was employed by Raytheon where she met Cosmo Albano. Louise and Cosmo wed in 1964 and settled in Woburn in 1969.

Louise was an avid sports enthusiast and participant. In addition to belonging to a bowling league, She also played softball, basketball and tennis. She was always up for a game with friends and family. In later years she took up golf and cross country skiing. Other interests included gardening, puzzles and using her computer. She also enjoyed day trips and dining out. Louise was known for her spontaneity, quick wit, and contagious laugh. She was always in good spirits even during her illness.

In addition to her husband, Louise is survived by her brother Herbert Couvee and his wife Gilda of Bedford. She is also surved by ten loving nieces and nephews, fourteen grandnieces and grandnephews and two great nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Harold Couvee.

Funeral from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, Saturday, March 18th, at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church 138 Cambridge Rd., Woburn, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thru 7. Services will cocnlude with burial at St. Bernard Cemetery, Concord.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
