New Bedford – Zazemira “Zazzy” S. (Sousa) Cunha, age 96, of New Bedford, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Gabriel Cunha.
Zazemira was born in New Bedford, MA to the late Jose P. and Joana (Costa) DeSouza. She had been a loving homemaker to her family.
Our mama will always be remembered for her loving heart, her generosity and kindness to all.
Zazemira’s is survived by her daughter Sandra Feno and her husband Bruce; grandsons, Jeffrey Cunha and his wife Deborah and Quinn Feno and his wife Catherine; great-grandchildren, Chace Gabriel Feno and Jack Xander Cunha and daughter-in-law, Arlene Cunha. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, dear cousins and wonderful neighbors.
She was also the mother of the late LeRoy Cunha and sister of the late Florian Souza.
