Roseann Martinez Bonaventura of Woburn, Friday, December 18th at seventy-four years of age. Beloved wife of Vincent ("Vinny") Joseph Bonaventura.
Born in Boston, Roseann was the daughter of the late Anthony and Constance (Stella) Martinez. She attended and graduated from the Julie Billiart Central High School in the North End of Boston. After graduation she worked as a building manager for then newly completed Prudential Tower in Boston. In 1972 she married Vinny and a year later they relocated from Boston to Woburn, where they lived for more than 40 years.
After stepping away from the working world to raise her children, Roseann embarked upon a new adventure as a travel agent, eventually co-owning her own travel agency, Bravo! Travel, in Wakefield, for several years with her friend Geraldine McCarthy. Roseann and Vinny loved to travel and had many adventures in Italy, Greece, Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean among other places. After closing Bravo! Travel in 2002, Roseann worked for many years at Lord and Taylor at the Burlington Mall, using her keen eye for fashion to help many customers become more stylish until she fully retired.
Beloved mother of Leeann Bonaventura Wendt, her husband Andrew James Wendt of Frederick, Maryland and Julie Bonaventura Romei, her husband Pasquale Romei and loving grandmother of their daughter Bianca Rose Romei. Dear sister of Lucille Tringale, her late husband Domenico ("Nick") Tringale of Woburn and aunt of Dina Troiani and her family of Bradford, MA and Lisa Tringale of Florida.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
