Anthony Ray “Tony” Tripp, Sr., 56, of Lenox passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 3, 2021. A graveside funeral service will be held for Mr. Tripp at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Tift Memorial Gardens, where he will be laid to rest. Elder Lamar Burkett will officiate. The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 9, 2021, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with COVID-19 protocol observed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 8, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. at Rutland Farms in Eldorado. Everyone is invited to attend.
Aaron Travers, Shawn Guinn, Greg Rutland, Ryan Rutland, Josh Rutland and Chris Leger will serve as pallbearers.
Born January 22, 1964 in Tifton, Mr. Tripp was the son of Helen Lott Carr of Tifton and the late Marion Tripp. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Mandy Tripp Arnett. He retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2007 as a Master Gunnery Sergeant and is currently employed at Rutland Farms.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Tripp is survived by his wife, Tammy Ward Tripp of Lenox; two sons, Anthony Tripp, Jr. of Lenox and Kish Tripp of Davenport, Iowa; one brother, Paul Webb of Tifton; five sisters, Donna Tripp of Deltona, Florida, Carol Tripp of Ocala, Florida, Camille Tripp and Leann McAlpin, both of Tifton and Lee Bleshoy of Athens; and five grandchildren, Halie Tripp, Alyssa Tripp, Jonathon Tripp, Arissa Tripp and Rayghen Tripp.
