Larry Wayne Grizzard, 68, of Tifton passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, at Tift Regional Medical Center. His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 7, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Garvey Nichols and the Rev. Ken Potts officiating. Mr. Grizzard will be laid to rest at Oaky Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Berrien County. The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 7, 2021, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. COVID-19 protocol will be observed during the visitation and the funeral service.
Born August 11, 1952 in Macon, Mr. Grizzard was the son of the late Morris Clayton Grizzard and Jewell Paulk Grizzard. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Nichols Grizzard, who passed away on August 1, 2020; one brother, Darrell Grizzard; and two sisters, Lisa Grizzard and Teresa DeVane. He was retired and a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Berrien County.
Mr. Grizzard is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James and Kaylee Kilpatrick of Piedmont, South Carolina and Mikeal and Jamie Kilpatrick of White Oak; one daughter, Angel Hudson of Sylvester; one brother, Terry Grizzard of Mitchell County; four sisters, Frances Grizzard Jones of Camilla, Beverly Duponte of Mitchell County, Bea Phelps of Albany and Patricia Andrews of Newton ; five grandchildren, Joshua and his wife Brittany Kilpatrick, Justin Kilpatrick and his wife Magen, James Register, Brittany Hudson and Carl Hudson; and one great-grandchild, Easton Kilpatrick.
