Isabel (Perry) Alves, 92, of Fairhaven, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 3, 2021. She was the wife of the late John Alves.
Born in Mattapoisett, daughter of the late Joaquim Pereira and Adeline (Barros) Perry, she lived in Fairhaven most of her life.
Isabel worked in local shoe factories for over 30 years, and numerous other jobs. She also worked as a kitchen worker at Sippican Nursing Home.
Survivors include three brothers, Jack, John, and Joe Perreira, all of New Bedford; her sister, Ilda Santos of North Dartmouth; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, January 7, 2021 from 4-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Mattapoisett. Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions, her Funeral Mass and burial will be held privately. For online guestbook, visit www.saundersdwyer.com.
