MULLIGAN, William James of West Roxbury, formerly of Swinford, County Mayo Ireland passed away January 2, 2021. Born February 7, 1925 the son of the late Peter and Mary (Henigan) Mulligan. Beloved husband of 61 years to his best friend Barbara (O’Flaherty) Mulligan. Loving father of Karen Mulligan and her partner Edward McDonagh of West Roxbury and William Mulligan and his wife Poppy of Stoughton. Cherished grandfather of James and Kevin Keeley of West Roxbury and Caella Mulligan of Stoughton. Dear brother of Margaret Mulligan of Australia and the late Michael, Philomena and Matilda Mulligan, Frances Walsh and Ann Fahey. He was the brother-in-law of Michael Walsh and the late Julia Mulligan and Laurence Fahey. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend visitation in the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre Street, WEST ROXBURY on Friday January 8, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. from 9:30 a.m. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Theresa of Avila Church at 10 o’clock.
