John Ferrari of Medford passed away on December 31. He was 88 years old. John was the beloved husband of Alba (Raffi) Ferrari. Born in Bore, Italy, he was the cherished son of the late Angelo and Celesta (Cordani) Ferrari.
John was employed at the Union Oyster House in Boston for over 40 year as an Oyster Shucker. Over the many years of employment, John has served oysters to thousands of people including presidents, many politians, actors and actresses, famous celebrities and to people from all over the world who have come to Boston and visited the historic Union Oyster House.
John was the devoted father of Robert "Bob" Ferrari and his wife Patricia of Tewksbury. He was the adored grandfather of Caroline Rose Ferrari and Mckenzie Grace Ferrari. John was the dear brother of Angela Ciccia of North Reading and FL. and Bruna DeGregorio of Medford. John is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main Street, Medford, on Tuesday, January 12, from 9-11AM, followed by a funeral Mass in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 11:30AM.
Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
