WEBSTER – Edward S. Suleski, 91, died Thursday, December 31, 2020, in Notre Dame Health Care Center, Worcester, MA.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Dorothy (Jankowski) Suleski; five children, Judy Pelletier and her husband Bernie, Gary Stevens, Tom Stevens, Jackie Toth and her husband Doug, Jane Levesque and her husband Craig; 11 grandchildren.
He was born on July 10, 1929 in Avoca, PA to Josephine and Steven Suleski and was the youngest of 8 children. He graduated from Plainfield High School (NJ) in 1947 and attended Union Junior College and Rutgers University.
As an Army veteran of the Korean War, he was awarded two purple hearts and a silver star.
After a 35 year career with Johnson & Johnson Data Processing Center in Raritan, NJ, he and his wife retired to Massachusetts and lived on Webster Lake.
Edward and his wife traveled extensively. He was an avid Rutgers fan and enjoyed reading and playing golf.
A graveside service will be held privately in Saint Joseph Garden of Peace with military honors provided by the Webster-Dudley Veterans Council. Donations in his name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, Webster.
