Sun Cha “Sue” Lee Byrd, 80, of Abbeville, Georgia, died Friday, January 1, 2021, at her residence.
Graveside services will be held 4 PM, Monday, January 4, 2021, at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Wilcox County, Georgia, with the Rev. Howard Kitchens and the Rev. Tommy Tucker officiating.
Mrs. Byrd was born August 12, 1940, in Seoul, South Korea. She moved to the United States in 1961 and worked for SWS Garment for 15 years. She loved to sew and grow and can vegetables. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She is survived by a bonus daughter, Barbara Shouse of Abbeville; a brother-in-law, James Byrd of Sevierville, TN; sisters-in-law: Patricia Garrett of Sevierville, TN, Johnnie Ruth Kiker of Knoxville, TN, Terry & Roger Hare and Renee & Joe Hazelief all of Okeechobee, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Byrd.
