BUXTON- "Skip" Alden Ramsdell, Age 84, passed away peacefully on the morning of
December 31, 2020 with family by his side.
Skip was born in Biddeford, Maine on May 26, 1936, a son of the late Alden and
Emily (Grant) Ramsdell.
Skip attended Hollis schools, very active in sports, and graduated from Hollis High
School in 1954, immediately marrying his high school sweetheart, Charlene Flanagan.
Together they raised six children, staying active at all times.
Skip coached West Buxton Little League for well over a decade, always having a
good team and enjoying his "boys". He loved dancing at the Roost with Charlene,
friends, and family. He loved bowling and won his first color TV in a roll off in the late
60's. He loved throwing horseshoes with his buddies, ringer after ringer. He also
loved snowmobiling with his wife, going on many weekend trips up country with the
"Club". But his favorite place to snowmobile was out of Kingfield. Skip's favorite
past time was a good party. He also liked driving around locally, looking for some
action or a game of Cribbage.
Skip worked at Sebago Moc Shoe shop for many years, then went to Central Maine
Power Hydro Station in West Buxton which he retired from.
Skip was predeceased by his parents, Alden and Emily Ramsdell, his beloved wife,
Charlene, who passed away in 2008, and daughter Emily Roberts, who recently
passed in July 2020, and a nephew, Ricky Ramsdell in 2015.
He is survived by his only son, Kevin Ramsdell and wife, Petra, daughter, Lynn
Steeves and husband, Billy, daughter, Denice Ramsdell, daughter, Robin Day and
husband Steve, daughter, Terry Carson, and son-in-law, Ronald Roberts. He is also

and thirteen great grandchildren.
Skip did not want a funeral service due to Covid, but agreed to a double burial with his
wife, Charlene, for his family and friends in the Spring. Announcements will be made
before that time.
