On Christmas day, Janice (Germana) Lodato, 71, of Manchester, NH entered into eternal rest at home surrounded by her loving family after eighteen months of managing cancer and chemo related side-effects.

Born in Lawrence, MA on July 10, 1949, Janice and her family moved to Manchester, NH when she was ten. She attended Manchester schools and graduated from West High School in 1967.  She was predeceased by her father, Dominic Germana.  Janice leaves behind her mother, Mary Germana, along with 6 siblings: Donna Hevern and her husband Gerard and their children Tim Clayton, Erin McLaughlin, and Shannon Krause; Linda Gianitsis and her husband Anthony and their children John Gianitsis, Michael Gianitsis, and Nicholas Gianitsis; Mark Germana and his wife Susan and their children Dominic Germana and Alicia Hughes; Mary Ann Mafera (Mickey Conroy, dec.) and her children Matthew Mafera and Jamie Siemer; Nancy Germana; and Christopher Germana. She was loved and will be missed by her many grand-nephews and grand-nieces. Janice will also be missed by all of her friends, but especially her best friend Patti Lyonnaise and her godchild, Lisa Lyonnaise. Her companion dog, Sadie May, remained at her side throughout her illness.

In her life, she was the primary care provider for her mother for decades. She worked as a bookkeeper at Suncook Family Health Center and in the gardens cared for by Landscape Plus. Janice reconditioned furniture and re-purposed crystal glass and other objects that she produced as items sold at flea markets, crafts fairs, and consignment shops.

Throughout her life, Janice enjoyed using her natural artistic talent in every medium. Her eye for color and design was unmatched. With her heart and hands, she created meaningful, personalized works of art, lovingly giving them to family and friends. She was a gifted gardener.
