Carlos Junior Moody, 54, of Ocilla, Georgia, died Sunday, December 27, 2020, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Georgia.
Graveside memorial services will be held 2 PM, Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Rebecca, Georgia, with the Rev. Roger Mays officiating.
Carlos was born October 20, 1966, in Bartow, Florida, to the late Curtis Junior & Carolyn Ruth Byrd Moody. He worked on the yard maintenance team at Sunny Dale Training Center and also worked for the City of Fitzgerald Public Works for 11 years. In 1991, Carlos won a Silver Medal as an individual in bowling at the International Special Olympics World Summer Games in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He later competed on the first Unified Bowling Team and was runner-up for the State of Georgia. He loved watching WWE and will be greatly missed by his family and all his friends at Sunny Dale. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his sister, Robin & William Hudson of Ocilla; brothers: Ronnie Moody, Billy Joe Moody, and Raymond “Lee” Moody, all of Ocilla and Dwayne & Tammy Moody of Thomasville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Moody.
