EAST BROOKFIELD, MA; Barry A. Carpe, Sr., 71, of East Brookfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 29 in Brigham & Women's Hospital, Boston.
He leaves his wife of 10 years, Deborah A. (Petruzzi) Carpe, his sons Barry Carpe, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Ashburn, VA and Ryan Carpe of Manchester, CT, his daughter Heidi Carpe of Manchester, CT., his step son Stephen Petruzzi and his wife Cherron of New Windsor, NY., and stepdaughters Melissa Kubasiak and her husband Michael of Spencer, and Karen Condon and her husband Jeffrey Staltare of Oxford, his brothers Henry "Donnie" Carpe of Broad Brook, CT., David Carpe of Pyke, NH., and Raymond Carpe of Bethlehem, NH., his sisters Lois Franco and her husband Edward of Bradford, VT., Kathy Williams and her husband Brent of Wells River, Vt. and Joanne Carpe of Manchester, CT, and 10 grandchildren; Madison, Madeline, Ella, Jocelyn, Kyle, Matthew, Carissa, Maya, Kaiden and Erin, many nieces and nephews.
He was born in Boston, the son of the late Thelma L. Jones and later served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War as a Captain.
Barry owned and operated with his wife All-Tech Specialty Fasteners in South Windsor, Ct. for the past 18 years. He previously co-owned B & B Threaded Components in East Berlin, CT from 1987 to 2003.
He was a past President of The New England Fasteners Distributors Association.
Barry was a loving, dedicated husband and father.
Calling hours, with Covid-19 guidelines: face masks and social distancing as well as limited capacity will be observed on Sunday, Jan. 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial with Military Honors will be private in Evergreen Cemetery, East Brookfield, MA.
