Claire (Delano) Driesen, 92, of N. Dartmouth, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home. She was the wife of Donald Driesen, they were married for 67 years.
Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Joseph K. and Dora (Wilbur) Delano, she was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth. Prior to retirement, she worked as a cost clerk for Berkshire Hathaway. Mrs. Driesen was a member of the Grace Episcopal Church in New Bedford and was a former member of the Episcopal Church Women. She enjoyed going on cruises with her husband and crocheting and knitting, she made lap blankets that she donated. She also helped the hairdresser with residents hair at Tabor Nursing Home in New Bedford.
Including her husband, she is survived by 2 sons: Douglas W. Driesen and his wife Susan of ME and Brian M. Driesen and his wife Kathy of Norwood, MA; a brother: Arthur J. Delano of Erie, PA; 2 grandchildren: Douglas W. Driesen, Jr. and Sarah Gagnon; 8 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was sister of the late Wilbur W. Delano, Gerald G. Delano, Ann D. Frias and Orina D. Reagan.
