FALL RIVER – Manuel Silva, age 89 of Fall River, passed away on Sunday, Dec. 27th. He was the husband of Lidia (Reveredo) Silva. Born in Capelas, Sao Miguel, son of the late Joao M. & Maria Silva.
Prior to retiring, Manuel worked 28 yrs. for Plymouth Rubber Co., Canton, MA, and was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church.
In addition to his wife Lidia, Manuel is survived by his sons: John M. Silva of NH, Joseph (Rafael) Silva (wife Connie) of Fall River, & Norbert Silva of FL; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. He was also the brother of the late Jaime M. Silva, Maria H. Silva, & Natalia Reveredo.
Manuel’s visitation will be held on Saturday, Jan. 2nd from 8:00-9:30 AM in the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Michael’s Church at 10:00 AM. Private Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
