FALL RIVER – Rose (Correia) Moniz, age 80, passed away peacefully at home on December 28, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph D. Moniz. Born in Ribeira Seca, São Miguel, Açores, she was the daughter of the late John and Ambrozina (Almeida) Correia. Prior to retirement she worked as a Floor Lady at Tic Toc Frocks for many years.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her children Doris Andrade (husband Richard) and John Moniz (wife Nancy) all of Fall River; 5 grandchildren Aaron, Ryan, Matthew, Michael, Brendon and Kara, who Rose treated like a grandchild; 6 great-grandchildren Avery, Madison, Emelia, Thomas, Finley and Adalynn; and several nieces and nephews, of whom were very special to her.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate a mass of Christian burial at St. Michael’s Church at 10 A.M. on Monday, Jan 4th. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Calling hours on Sunday, Jan 3rd from 4-7 P.M. Arrangements are under the direction of the Manuel Rogers Funeral Home, Fall River.
