Holly A. (Mears) Mellman, age 52, of Taunton, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Morton Hospital in Taunton. She was the beloved wife of Chris W. Mellman, to whom she was wed on July 10, 1997.
Born in Quincy, MA on June 9, 1968, she was a loving daughter of the late Frank Mears and Joyce (Brunke) Rapoza.
Holly grew up and was educated in Brockton. She had made her home in Taunton for the past six years and formerly resided in New Bedford and East Wareham. She had previously worked as a Nurse’s Aide.
Holly’s love for family and especially her grandchildren was unconditional. She enjoyed taking family pictures and putting together photo albums, which her family will treasure forever. Holly also liked camping, traveling; her favorite point of destination being Florida, watching movies, collecting cookie jars and key chains and she’ll always be remembered for her wide range of knowledge on the subject of history.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children: Michael Mears and his wife Lisa of West Bridgewater and Amber Mellman of Taunton. She was the adoring grandmother of Berlin, Zoey and Declan. She was the sister of Cynthia Gonski, Kathleen Audette and April Rapoza. She was sister-in-law of Michelle Stuart and her husband Paul of Plymouth and Patricia Corbett of Plymouth. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews.
At Holly’s request there will be no services or burial and visiting hours are omitted. Those wishing, may remember Holly with a donation in her memory made to a charity of one’s choice.
