FALL RIVER – Lelita C. Javier, age 79 of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020 in Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Kamuning Quezon City, Philippines, Lelita was the daughter of the late Domingo G. Concepcion and Estrella Balbuena (Marzan) Concepcion. She was the cherished wife of Alberto G. Javier for fifty love-filled years.
The eldest of ten siblings, Lelita was the first of her family to come to America, where she and her beloved husband Alberto built a life for her family and a family of their own.
Having been a schoolteacher in the Philippines, Lelita lived her life with the values of an educator - patient, open minded, and fun-loving. Lelita was a second mother and a caretaker to many. After retiring from Aetna insurance company, Lelita devoted her time to work, for several years, alongside her great friends Dr. Carlos and Nila Fernando. She also took great pride in her work as a home health aid. Lelita opened her heart to so many, who undoubtedly remember her joyous storytelling, laughter, singing, and dancing.
