Obituary

UPDATED ON 5/5/2021

Joseph Frank Sevelitte, a produce salesman at S.Strock and Co., passed away on December 23, 2020 at the age of 60 after a brief illness.

Joseph is survived by the love of his life, his wife Robyn (Caplis) Sevelitte, whom he married on October 8, 2016, his son Joseph M. Sevelitte, step-son Michael DiMattia and his granddaughter Annabelle Cora Sevelitte. Joseph was predeceased by his parents Joseph F. Sevelitte Sr. and Rosemary (Ciampa) Sevelitte and his brother Mark Sevelitte. Joseph is also survived by a loving family filled with many aunts, uncles, and cousins, as well as a wide circle of wonderful friends.

Joseph was born in Boston, Massachusetts on November 21, 1960. He graduated from Medford High School in 1979, and went to Westfield State University where he graduated with a degree in History. Joe immediately went to work in the produce market in Chelsea, where he worked for several companies over the course of his thirty-plus year career.

Joe, known by his closest friends as Bubba, was a devoted family man and a trustworthy and generous friend to all who knew him. His favorite place to be was at the coast of Maine with his wife and friends beside him. Joseph would most likely want you to remember him by having a good laugh, a cold cocktail, and a nice medium-rare ribeye at the Capital Grille. He will be deeply and forever missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held in the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford at noon on Saturday, May 22. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend and may visit with family from 10 AM through noon. Interment will be private. Social distancing protocols will be followed throughout the services.
